My mom came to stay the weekend with us because my dad was playing in a golf tourney out of town. So, today my mom and I went shopping. Got these great books for Nate's first day of Kindergarten. I absolutely LOVE Children's literature!!! I think it's probably because I taught school for so many years. There are MANY kids that I taught that never had their parents read books to them. SSSOOOOO sad! I started reading to Nate when he was in my tummy. I believe that reading to and with your child helps him/her have the LOVE of reading!!!
Dillard's had a great sale going on! My mom bought me this Jessica Simpson purse for $28!!!WOW!! It was regular $115. What a deal! Amy, I know you are going to go buy this purse tomorrow. We LOVE Jessica!!HEHE!!! Oh, mom bought Sandi one too.

ReplyDeleteOh, The Kissing Hand is one of my favorites! I posted on it, and plan to give it to my little girl the night b/f she starts nursery school! I love all of the Chester books! I also love to read with my children! We do it pretty much every night before bed. My husband, the girls and I (and usually a cat or two) all jump in bed and either my husband or I or both read! Love this time!
Sounds like you gals had so much fun shopping! I so agree with you about reading to your children. Both of my girls LOVE when I read with them. Your Jessica Simpson purse is AWESOME!!
