Pool Party at Sissy's House

Last night Aunt Sissy and Uncle Chris let Nate and Addison spend the night with the girls. Rob and I took advantage and went on a date... well... to Sam's and bought groceries and had pizza at the little deli there. Ty was perfect the whole date.. HEHE!! Too bad Ty didn't sleep thru the night. He had a HORRIBLE night last night. I was dragging today! Ty and I loaded up this morning and headed to Burnet. The kids had fun swimming and eating popsicles. Nannys was there too!! FUN!! Ty and I didn't swim.

We let Nate stay one more night with Sissy. In the morning we'll head back to Burnet to get him. That means another fun day swimming. Oh, I'm getting my hair highlighted and a pedicure tomorrow... WOOHOO!!

You may wonder why Addison didn't get to stay 2 nights with Sissy???? Well, she can be high maintenance and Sandi needed a break from her.HEHE!!!!

Port Aransas part 2

Above is more pics from Port Aransas. It was sooo humid down there. Thank goodness for the breeze. I had packed cute dresses to wear in the evening.... didn't happen... waaaayyyy too humid so I had a visor on my head and work out clothes on my body if I wasn't at the pool or beach. We had a good time but I don't know if we'll be going back anytime soon.

Our family vacay this year was in Port Aransas. The kids had never seen the ocean so we thought we'd finally take them to the beach. Rob and I knew the beach and water wouldn't be as beautiful as Cabo, but the kids wouldn't know the difference. All 3 kids were little angels on the way down there. Nate asked a zillion times how much longer until we get there... drove us crazy. Ty didn't make a peep. Addison talked a lot! Finally, after 5 hours of driving, we arrive. Headed straight to the beach for a few hours: the boys played baseball and swam with the boogy boards while Addison ran through the water and played on the beach. She also had a snack and the seagulls tried to eat her crackers. They got soo close to her. FUNNY!! Ty just chilled the whole time. When we finally put him in the water, he really enjoyed it. If we weren't at the beach, we were swimming at the pool or snoozing up at the condo. We also ate non stop.. I gained tons of lbs. OINK!!! After three fun day, we headed home. I asked Nate what his fave part of the trip was and he said, " Swimming at the pool; the ocean water hurts my eyes, my skin and I don't like it!!!!"!!!! So, who knows if we'll ever take him back. Thanks to Harvey, Jessica, Tak and Tripp for putting up with us during our vacay. We had a blast!!!!

The pics above are from a few weeks ago when Sandi (Aunt Sissy), Kyli and Kenna came to visit. We are with them ALL the time! Kyli and Nate have a love/ hate relationship. One minute they are best buds and the next they are fighting like crazy. Kenna and Addison are little buddies too, until Addison starts being mean and then Kenna has a great time telling on her. I hope they always remain as close as they are right now. Sandi and I would love it if they all went to Texas Tech and lived together. You never know!!! Yesterday, Nate asked me why God gave Ty a big, round head. I thought that was pretty funny! Ty's head is pretty big; 90 percentile for his age.

Summer Fun

So far this summer we haven't done much. Just a week of swim lessons where Addison learned to swim. Ok, I still won't turn my back at the pool. Nate already knew how to swim so he just worked more on his endurance. Ms. Holland was a great teacher. My kids love her! We also go to the neighborhood pool a few times a week. It's a lot of work when you have to take three kids to the pool.

I finally got the Canon Rebel camera that I have been wanting. WOOHOO!! I'm hoping that my sister Sandi will teach me how it works. Now all I need is a new laptop, until then I'll just use Rob's.
