Still Dreaming of Kauai....

We've been back now for 8 days and I still can't get our trip out of my head. Rob and I have always dreamed of Hawaii...for 11 years, it has been our dream vacay. We always said that we'd go for our 10 yr anniversary, we went to Bahamas instead. Therefore, we decided we'd go on our 15 yr anniversary....because of the expense of the trip. A few months ago, Rob thought we should go ahead and go for our 11 yr anniversary. I started looking at flights and found a great deal on them so we booked our trip!! We knew that it was a trip of a lifetime so we did everything that we wanted to do: golfing, boat tour, helicopter tour....gets pretty expensive but we didn't know when we'd be back.

Rob wanted to play golf one day so I was his caddy...ok, golf cart driver

Isn't this little church so cute!!!! LOVE!

Dinner at Beach House Restaurant...a must if you ever visit Kauai

YUM!!! Calamari!!!

Our waitress surprised Rob and I with pineapple alamode for our anniversary....sweet!!!

Wasabi crusted fish...too die for yummy!!!!

Like my nice little bottle??? The drinks were $13 each at the resort so I told Rob that we were going to Wal-Mart to get our alcohol. Trying to save money on the drinks so we could spend it on the food. We stocked our fridge in our room and woohooo...saved lots of money! I was the bartender on the trip and a good one at that!!!

Rob is only wearing his shirt because we just got to the beach. He should have worn it the whole trip cause he got a major burn on his belly...oooooopppss!!

We at so much on this trip and every single place we ate was delicious, not one bad meal!

We ate at the Shrimp Station on the south shore twice...ugh, I lost the fried shrimp pic...I'll post it later..yum!

NaPali

I told Rob we were taking the kids to Hawaii next summer. He laughed and said, "GET A JOB!!" So then I made him promise me that he'd take me back for my 40th bday. He agreed!!!!! That means only 4.5 years!!!!!!

  1. There's really a Wal-mart on the island? We dream of going back, but need to wait until the kids are older. But Jon is wanting to run the Honolulu Marathon again soon....I guess I would HAVE to go back to support his run! Ha! Looks soooo inviting!
